Myanmar are the 2026 Asian Games Mobile Legends: Bang Bang champions. In the Bo7 Grand Final at the Aichi International Exhibition Center in Tokoname, Japan, the national squad swept Indonesia 4–0, closing out a tournament in which they lost just a single game.
The gold medal roster: Hein Htet Oo, Han Htoo Swe, Myo Myint, Shine Lin Aung, Kyaw Thuya and Min Htun Aung.
A final that was never close
Indonesia came into the decider with momentum after knocking out the Philippines in a three-game quarterfinal and dispatching Mongolia 2–0 in the semis. None of that carried over. Myanmar took all four games in quick succession, and none of them went past fifteen minutes:
| Game | Winner | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Myanmar | 13:13 |
| 2 | Myanmar | 14:08 |
| 3 | Myanmar | 12:52 |
| 4 | Myanmar | 14:28 |
Twelve games won, one dropped — Myanmar's run in Tokoname was about as dominant as international MLBB gets.
The road to gold
The event ran over just three days, from 29 September to 1 October, with eleven national teams after Iran withdrew. Groups were played as single round robins in Bo3, with the top two from each group advancing to a single-elimination bracket.
- Group stage: Myanmar topped Group A with a perfect 2–0 record and a 4–0 game score.
- Quarterfinal: the only blemish — a 2–1 win over Cambodia.
- Semifinal: a 2–0 win over Malaysia, who had topped Group B.
- Grand Final: 4–0 over Indonesia.
Malaysia and Mongolia share third place, while Cambodia, Jordan, the Philippines and Hong Kong finished in the 5th–8th bracket.
Stars of the tournament
The organisers named a "Star of the Day" for each match day. Malaysia's Danial took Day 1, before Myanmar's Shine Lin Aung (Day 2) and Kyaw Thuya (Day 3) claimed the honours as their team surged through the playoffs.
What it means
For a scene that has spent years building through MSL Myanmar and international qualifiers, an Asian Games title on a multi-sport stage is a statement. The Philippines' exit in the quarterfinals will also raise eyebrows back home, with MPL PH Season 18 heading into its final regular-season weeks.
