Two weapons, two skills

Hirara has only two skills, one for each of her fans: Meisen-e and Kaerazu. Dragging one skill onto the other casts a combo skill, and combos spend one of her two Crimson/Death Energy charges. Energy recovers on Meisen-e's cooldown.

  • Meisen-e — up to two joystick-aimed dashes that damage enemies in her path.
  • Kaerazu — unleashes the Crimson Maple in a fan, then strikes again at the target location for double damage.

The combos

  • Infernal Torrent (Meisen-e enhanced): after the first dash she spins, dealing heavy Crimson Maple damage and immobilising enemies for 0.8s.
  • Falling Maple (Kaerazu enhanced): she becomes untargetable for up to 1s, then deals big burst damage, and can end the state early with Meisen-e's second dash.

Two buttons, four abilities, and a resource to manage. Hirara's skill floor is low; her ceiling is all about combo timing.

One important limit: she deals reduced damage to minions, so she's built for picking off heroes rather than pushing.

How she's doing in pro play

Across 695 professional games tracked by Liquipedia, Hirara holds a 49.5% win rate (344 wins, 351 losses). That's balanced, and she clearly belongs in the meta conversation. Players Liquipedia lists as notable Hirara pilots include zaur egoist, Tienzy, Vival, Hann and Error 404.

Lore

A geisha ninja of the Scarlet Shadow who fights with twin fans, Hirara holds a twisted belief that death is salvation. In-game she admires Hanabi, considers Hanzo a rival, and is an enemy of Hayabusa and Kagura.
