Liquid win out
Team Liquid PH were 8–2 when we wrote our Week 7 preview and won all four series after it. EXP laner Sanford was match MVP in both the ONIC sweep and the decider against Falcons.
Falcons slip at the last step
Team Falcons PH led the table from Week 6 and were 12–1 going into the final match. One loss costs them first place, but not the Round 1 bye.
Aurora's climb holds
Aurora Gaming PH won their last three series, including a 2–1 over ONIC in Week 7, to finish level with ONIC on 9–5. ONIC take the third seed and face TNC; Aurora meet Omega.
A winless season for Twisted Minds
Twisted Minds PH end at 0–14 with three games won. They took one off Aurora on the final day, but the first series win never came.
Liquid and Falcons were the two best teams by a distance. The format now gives everyone else exactly one route in: win a Bo5 just to reach them.

The playoffs move to the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City, with about 4,000 seats available once the stage is built, according to Philstar. The Superfan City Festival returns outside the arena with fan activities and 10th-anniversary merchandise. Ticket details are on the official MPL Philippines channels.
