Moonton has added Youth Care, a parental control system for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Parents can link to a child's game account, set the times of day the child is allowed to play, and restrict chat and voice chat. The help pages for the new MLBB parental controls went up on Moonton's website on 14 and 15 October 2026.
What MLBB parental controls let you do
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Playtime | Set the permitted play periods for each day |
| Social features | Limit text chat, voice chat and other social options |
| Several accounts | Manage more than one child or game account once an email is connected |
Some options are system-controlled: they appear on the management page but parents cannot change them. Moonton's help pages do not list which ones.
How to link your child's account
There are two ways to connect, and both require the parent to pass an adult age verification.
Claim the account on your child's phone
- On the device where your child's account is logged in, open MLBB and go to Profile → Account → Account Center → Youth Care.
- Tap Correct Age and follow the steps to state your relationship to the child.
- Complete the adult age verification yourself.
- Update your child's age and account settings as prompted.
- Set a management PIN. You will need it every time you open the management page.
Afterwards, connect your own email address to unlock more options and to manage several children or accounts.
Accept an invitation from your child
Your child can start the process instead: they complete the in-game age verification, enter your email address and send a connection request. You then:
- Open the invitation email and tap the button in it.
- Log in with your own account and pass the verification steps.
- Enter the Parental Control Center and choose your settings.
If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and confirm the address with your child. Invitation links expire, and changing the connected email cancels any earlier links, so ask for a new request if one stops working.
Where it is available
Moonton has not said which regions have Youth Care. An early version was tested on the Advanced Server for players in Indonesia, and the help pages are written for a global audience. If you don't see Youth Care under Account Center, it may not have reached your server yet.
Should parents use it?
The playtime schedule is the useful part. A daily window agreed with your child works better than an argument about "one more match", because ranked games can't be paused halfway.
A few practical points:
- Talk first. Moonton's own guidance is to confirm which account you are managing and discuss the schedule, including school days and weekends, before you change anything.
- Leave room for a full match. Most matches last 10 to 20 minutes, and leaving a ranked game early costs points and can bring penalties.
- Use the chat controls for younger players. In-game chat with strangers is the area most parents worry about, and it can be limited without blocking play.
- Keep the PIN private. Anyone with it can change the settings.
